MERI BOSKOVA

Meri Boskova is one of the most dazzling talents of the Macedonian acting arts. She played the leading role in the first Macedonian movie "Frosina" (1952)  directed by Voja Nanovich, and in the first Macedonian comedy movie "A Quiet Summer" (1961) directed by Dimitrie Osmanli. Her first thetre acting activities were done in the native Bitola, and in 1945 she made her first performances in the Folk Theatre in Skopje, which made her become a primadonna at the theatre acting floor. She have done an unforgettable acting career in the role of Desdemona (Shakespeare’s "Otelo"), Zivka (Nusic’s "Mrs. Minister"), Nastia (Gorky’s poem "At the bottom") and many others.

She spent almost ten years in Belgrade, brilliantly realizing the roles in "Tattooed Rose" by T. Williams, "Kostana" by B. Stankovic and others, also acting in many cities in ex-Yugoslavia and Macedonia.

She was awarded the Steria award, including many highly regarded state and republic awards, which made her a leading actress of the theatre and the other media.

JOSIF JOSIFOVSKI

Josif Josifovski is a prominent actor of the Folk Theatre at Bitola, which is the richest and most mature period in his acting career. Finding his acting roots at the Folk Theatre at Veles and Prilep combined with the dominance of his powerful nature and the lively and passionate temperament, he presented about 100 different roles, including "Kostana" by B. Stankovic, "Otelo" by W. Shakespeare, "Dundo Maroe" by M. Drzic, and many plays written by the most eminent Macedonian playwrights. He was presented many awards, including a reward of a lifetime work.
